Early Departure

“Early departure” is a piece that was inspired by the global diversity at The New School. The scale of a the painting references the one of a plane wingspan and runway. The text in the painting was acquired through youtube comments from the song "La Primavera" by Manu Chao. In the song's chorus Chao ask "Que hora son mi Corazon" (What time is it my sweetheart) in which listeners from all over the world commented by writing the time and region that they were in at the moment of listening to the song. Ex. "12:25 New York, New York".
